Our Week in Community Kindergarten:

This was a short but busy week! We began the week by going on a “Leaf Hunt” and collected leaves around the playground. We noticed that leaves come in different shapes, sizes and colours. We then learned how to sort using these different attributes. Sorting is a math concept that we will work with throughout the year.  In science, we began to explore colours and will be learning how to mix different colours. At centers, we designed a vet center complete with an x-ray machine and a “play area” for animals to recover and become physically healthy. We also learned how to write the letter “a” this week.

Our Week in French Kindergarten
This week we are finishing up our pattern unit.We are looking at how patterns are everywhere, we can even see them in nature . We are now starting how to represent numbers 1-5 in different ways.
We have also started the project “ Story Of My Name”for this project, please ensure your child knows his/her full name and the details mentioned on the sheet. This project is for them to share about themselves so we can all learn a little more about how each of us is unique.

Volunteers Needed!
We will be going on our first field trip to the coulee!
P.M. classes will be on on Thursday, November 28th
A.M. classes will be on Thursday, December 5th.
Many parents expressed interest in volunteering back in September. If you would still like to volunteer, you must have a police clearance done and handed into the office. Police clearances often take weeks to be processed so please do this as soon as you can. Thank you!
